What you get

Long-term Confidence

The reasoning behind your colors, so it still works five years from now

Choosing colors on your own

A chart alone sends you back to guessing the first time you meet a color that is not on it.

So Khwan explains the reasoning, and checks you understand it before the session ends.

Every color has three parts

Two blue shirts can do completely different things to your face. Every color carries three qualities at once:

  1. temperature: does it lean yellow or blue
  2. value: is it light or dark
  3. chroma: is it vivid or muted

People react to these differently. Some faces change a lot with chroma and barely with temperature. Others are the reverse. Know which one moves you most and you know what to watch for.

Testing a color in a store

Hold the piece under your chin, face natural light if there is any, and watch your under-eyes and the lines around your mouth. Ignore the garment itself.

Shadows flatten and skin lifts: it works. Shadows sharpen and skin greys: it does not. Comparing two pieces side by side is much easier than judging one alone.

The money part

Roughly count the clothes you bought last year. Now count how many you wore more than five times.

The gap is money hanging in your closet, and it repeats every year, because the same small doubt in the fitting room leads to the same kind of purchase that never quite feels right once you get it home. Knowing your colors may not make you buy less. It raises the share of what you buy that gets worn.

Try counting. It takes two minutes.

What stays the same

Undertone does not change with age, weight or trends. Hair color and taste do change, and both can move within the same color group.

What you learn in one 45-60 minute session still applies years later.

Want to know which color group is yours?

Khwan comes to your home, about 45-60 minutes per person, and you take your own color palette home.
